Within minutes of the start of the first half, Malaysia conceded a lona without gaining any points of their own.
Iranian raiders were also breaching the Malaysian defence to gain additional bonus points and Malaysia were left backpedalling the entire half.
Malaysia conceded yet another lona in the half, and Iran stretched their lead at halftime to 35-5.
Iran piled on the misery for Malaysia with another lona in the early stages of the second half and moved ahead 42-5.
Iran continued their relentless attacking and notched up three more lonas in the half and romped home in style 73-10.
It was the biggest margin of win in the competition for any team in the competition.
