Malaysia were beaten once again in the men's kabaddi competition. This time thay were beaten by Bangladesh 38-48.
It was a match that could have gone Malaysia's way if the team had taken their chances well. In the end it was experience that paid put to Malaysia's chances.
It was a close match in the early stages with both teams trading blows. Malaysia even led 7-6 at one stage.
However, Bangladesh regrouped and quickly snatched back the lead at 9-8. A quick lona followed and Bangladesh established their dominance taking a 17-10 lead.
The maintained their lead over the Malaysian until halftime, going 26-17 into the break.
Malaysia came back strongly in the second half and had the Bangladesh team struggling to find their rhythm.
The Malaysian side whittled down the deficit to come within three points, trailing 29-32.
But defensive errors allowed Bangladesh to gain another lona and stretch their lead to six points.
Bangladesh hung on to notch their first win in the competition and pushing Malaysia out of medal contention.
In another match, defending champions India strolled pass Iran 40-24.
