The Best for Bell

The Indian expatriate team of Pasum Ponn


The cream of the kabaddi teams in the country would be joined by several Indian expatriate teams at the the Selangor Tamil Youth Bell Club Council's kabaddi tournament this Sunday 29th November, 2009 in Batu Caves.

A total of 14 teams would participate in the men's competition and four in the womens competition at the tournament.

Sri Devi, Kg Pandan Lions, Selayang and the Indian expatriate team of Pasum Ponn A have been given the top billings in the men's competition.

The men's competition will see the winners taking home prize money of RM 800 while the second and third placed teams will win RM 500 and RM 300 respectively.

Of the four seeded teams, Selayang have been drawn in the toughest group, having in company Malaysia Nanban, Kg Pandan Tigers and Pasum Ponn B.

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.

The women's competition would be played in a round robin format with the top placed team declared winners.

The kabaddi competition is the highlight of the Tamil Festival organised by the Selangor Tamil Youth Bell Club Council.

Apart from kabaddi, several other programs in line with Tamil culture is also being conducted.

GROUP B: Kg Pandan Lions, Damansara, Brooklands
GROUP C: Selayang, Malaysia Nanban, Kg Pandan Tigers, Pasum Ponn B
GROUP D: Pasum Ponn A, Paavi Naynar, PKP Saroja S

WOMEN
GROUP X:
Sri Manjari, Segar, Brooklands, Sri Devi
