Officials from the KAKL were invited to assist in the kabaddi tournament in conjunction with the Tamilar Thirunaal at the Taman Universiti 2 in Johor Bahru on 1st May, 2010.
The tournament attracted three teams from Johor Bahru including the Johor Sukma kabaddi team. The tournament final was between the Johor Sukma team playing under the name of Harimau Selatan and the Indian expatriate team of Hamid Corner with the state team emerging as winners.
Officials from KAKL also had the opportunity to meet up with the Johor Kabaddi Association officials after the tournament to exchange ideas.
