The Premier League Kabaddi scheduled to resume this weekend has been postponed at the requests from the teams as well as the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).The MBPJ is organising their annual kabaddi open and have requested the assistance of the KAKL in postponing the PLK to allow the the teams to participate in the tournament.
The request was made through a letter dated 3rd August Ref No. (13) MBPJ/KAB/2009.
The tournament organising secretary Mr Muthukumar in his letter indicated that the MBPJ would not be able to postpone their tournament due to the coming fasting month.
In view of the request, and as KL based teams were winners at the last few editions of the tournament, the PLK would be be postponed to the following week.
